Lauren Bailey (they/she) is a psychotherapist, coach and writer based in Chicago. Currently, Lauren is a member of a private practice working with queer individuals, families and relationships. She has published research about working therapeutically with Mixed Orientation Relationships (MOREs) in the journal of Sexual And Relationship Therapy. Her creative nonfiction writing will be featured in the upcoming issue of Silly Goose Press.
Before making the switch to counseling psychology, Lauren had a long career in government and politics, most notably at the Department of Veterans Affairs. There, she assisted with the creation of the Online Communications team which was featured in The Washington Post, The Federal Times, Government Executive, and Stars and Stripes.
Lauren holds a BA in Communication and Political Science from The University of Pittsburgh, a Masters in Public Affairs from George Mason University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Northwestern University.
